Top applicants will be invited for on-campus interviews. In-person interviews are required for invited applicants. Interviewees will meet with faculty members to discuss their motivation for a pharmacy career, their experience in healthcare, and their leadership roles. Interviewees’ communication skills, professionalism, and maturity will be assessed. A writing assessment will also be taken by interviewees. The writing assessment requires students to respond to an ethical situation one could encounter as a pharmacist. Responses will be limited to 200–300 words. Organization, clarity, and use of conventions will be assessed.

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, one of the nation’s premier scientific teaching institutions, is preparing students to excel in this new era of health care—an age where pharmacy and biomedical professionals will be at the heart of medial teams that bring hope, knowledge and continuing health to the people they serve.

Founded in 1881, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is New York State’s oldest pharmacy school and one of the only private, independent pharmacy schools in the United States. Nearly all of our graduates pass national and state licensure exams on the first try, and exciting, rewarding jobs typically await all graduates not continuing their education.

The College is located in the University Heights area of Albany, New York’s state capital. The city is home not only to state government, but also to a host of high-tech, financial and service firms.
