Other clarifying information: A year of high school physics and/or calculus is acceptable and will replace college level physics and calculus. AP credit will be accepted for Physics (4,5) Calculus (4,5) one semester per *English (4,5), *Psychology (4,5) and *Economics (4,5). *Limitations apply. See supplemental application instructions for further information. Students who have completed or anticipate a U.S. Bachelor’s degree are exempt from GE requirements IC, IIB, and IIC. Students with a degree are NOT exempt from the liberal arts requirement. Liberal Art units are all non-math/science courses and include your English, psychology, economics, and public speaking courses. Refresher Requirement: Students who have not enrolled in biology or organic chemistry within the last seven years are required to enroll in one year of each as a refresher in these areas.

Pacific requires a recommendation from a professor.  A teaching assistant may complete the recommendation form if need be.  Pacific highly recommends choosing a professor in the sciences, but that is not required. You may choose any professor you wish, as long as he/she is from a school you have attended within the last three years.

Students who have been out of school for more than three years may have their academic recommendation completed by a supervisor. (If you enrolled in any school though, even if it was just for one course, you MUST have a professor complete the recommendation for you).

Interviews at the University of the Pacific typically take place on Friday afternoons and students should plan be available from 12:00 – 4:30 p.m. Students will interview with one faculty member and one currently enrolled PharmD student. A writing sample is required as part of the interview and a tour of our facilities will be provided.
